Women’s Empowerment and Political Participation project in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (WEPP-KP) with the financial support of the Government of Canada (GAC) finalized the Gender Mainstreaming Toolkit. The toolkit will guide Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Commission on the Status of Women (KPCSW), Social Welfare, Special Education & Women Empowerment Department (SW, SE & WED) and Social Protection and Gender Mainstreaming (SP&GM) Section of Planning and Development Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (P&DD-KP) in identifying and addressing gender-related issues in Public Sector Management including program design and implementation and policymaking.
Other than continuous coordination with all concerned stakeholders for the development of the toolkit, WEPP-KP finalized this after conducting the validation workshop for discussion on the possible changes and amendments within the Toolkit. Chairperson KPCSW, Dr. Riffat Sardar, Gender Specialist SW, SE & WED, Ms. Syeda Nudrat and Chief SP&GM Section of P&DD-KP, Ms. Fazeelat Jehan along with Team Leader WEPP-KP, Ms. Shabina Gulzar and Gender Equality Advisor WEPP-KP, Ms. Zuhra Luqman participated in the workshop. All the participants shared very important feedback and changes within the Toolkit have been incorporated.
